We’re so glad that you’ve found the Journey Church.  Journey is Maricopa’s United Methodist Church, presently meeting at Santa Cruz Elementary School in the Tortosa subdivision of Maricopa.  Click here (http://g.co/maps/vjczy) for a map to our 10:15am Sunday Worship space.

We’re a diverse group of people who are all interested journeying together and with Jesus.  We believe that journey happens as we ENCOUNTER, EXPERIENCE, and ENGAGE.  We ENCOUNTER Jesus, our God and each other.  We then EXPERIENCE Jesus and one another, and we are transformed by the experience.  Finally we go out to ENGAGE with the world, transformed by Jesus and ready to transform the world.

All through September, Pastor Eric (an Oregon and Oregon State fan) will be helping us think about the similarities between college football and church.  “They’re different!” you say?  Maybe, but remember that college football is played by amatuers, is dirty and corrupt, and is a team sport — just like church.

Come reflect on the similarities between college football and church.
