We believe that “church” is a verb. This is to say that church is not a place you go but rather something you do. A church that is all about coming, sitting for an hour, then leaving is not much of a church. Rather, we believe that the church is called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We are called to go where Jesus went, hold the joys and concerns that Jesus held, and be active in the world.
To make church a verb in your life, you can get involved in the church or outside of the church. In the church there are plenty of jobs — things like teaching Sunday school, ushering, and helping out on the sound board. Outside of the church we help out at the food bank, feed the homeless, clean up abandoned lots, read to kids, and lots more.
